I am truly very blessed to live a winederful life! While I know that I have worked hard for a lot of what I have accomplished, I know that I am also very lucky and most importantly, I am extremely grateful for all that I have. I am equally aware that others aren’t so lucky. Therefore, I feel it is important for me to give back to society in a meaningful way.
Although I do occasionally volunteer to participate in various projects, I wish I could contribute more. Accordingly, I am pleased to support these two organizations that are near and dear to my heart as part of my business practice, with donations made at the end of the fiscal year.
Wine To Water is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aid organization focused on providing clean water to needy people around the world. Nearly one billion people in the world today lack access to adequate water and 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation. We are devoted to fighting this epidemic. Wine symbolizes fortune in our society. Our goal is to give the fortunate population an opportunity to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.
Women for Women International supports women in war-torn regions with financial and emotional aid, job-skills training, rights education and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives.
While these organizations might not tug at your heart, I encourage you to consider giving your time, talent and/or treasure to causes that speak to you.
